PANS / PANDAS Support

For children, teens, and adults experiencing immune-mediated neuropsychiatric symptoms

When your child changes overnight—and no one can tell you why

You know your child.
You know when something is off.
And when behaviors, emotions, fears, or physical symptoms appear suddenly—seemingly out of nowhere—it can feel terrifying, isolating, and deeply destabilizing.
If you’re here because your child has experienced a sudden shift in behavior, mood, cognition, or physical health following an infection or immune stressor, I want you to know this first:
You are not imagining this. And you are not alone.

What are PANS and PANDAS?

PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal infections) are conditions in which the immune system mistakenly targets the brain—often following an infection—leading to sudden and dramatic changes in a child’s behavior, emotions, and nervous system function.
These changes can include:
  • Sudden-onset anxiety or OCD behaviors
  • Emotional lability, rage, or aggression
  • Regression in skills or behavior
  • Motor or vocal tics
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Sensory sensitivities
  • Brain fog, attention changes, or learning difficulties
  • Urinary frequency or bedwetting
  • Appetite restriction or changes
  • Physical symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, joint pain, or GI issues
For many families, the most distressing part is the abruptness—the sense that your child is suddenly not themselves.

Why conventional care often falls short

Many parents come to this work after months—or years—of being dismissed, minimized, or told their child is simply experiencing a normal developmental phase.
Many families seeking help for PANS/PANDAS are told:
  • “It’s just anxiety.”
  • “They’ll grow out of it.”
  • “It’s behavioral.”
  • “Try therapy and medication.”
While therapy and medication can be helpful pieces of support, they often fail to address the root cause: an immune system in distress and a nervous system stuck in survival.
PANS/PANDAS is not a parenting failure.
It is not a discipline issue.
It is not a child being “difficult.”
It is a whole-body condition that requires a whole-body approach.

My approach to PANS/PANDAS

I bring both clinical training and lived, nervous-system-informed insight to this work. I have supported many children and families navigating complex neuroimmune presentations, and I understand how destabilizing it can be when symptoms don’t fit neatly into conventional boxes.
I work through a functional and integrative lens, recognizing that true healing happens when we address:
I work with children and families through a functional and integrative lens, recognizing that true healing happens when we address:
  • Immune dysregulation
  • Inflammation and autoimmunity
  • Infections and microbial imbalances
  • Gut-brain-immune connections
  • Nutrient deficiencies
  • Nervous system overload
  • Emotional and environmental stressors
This work is not about chasing symptoms.
It’s about restoring balance and safety in the body so your child can return to themselves.

Who this work is for

This support may be a good fit if:
  • Your child experienced sudden behavioral or emotional changes
  • Symptoms appeared after illness, infection, or immune stress
  • You feel dismissed or unheard by conventional care
  • You want a root-cause, whole-child approach
  • You are ready to be an active participant in your child’s healing

You don’t have to do this alone

PANS/PANDAS can turn a family upside down.
It can strain relationships, routines, and your sense of safety.
Support matters.
Understanding matters.
Being believed matters.
If you feel called to explore working together, I invite you to schedule a consultation.
Your child’s nervous system deserves care.
And so does yours.
